"Field Trip" to Hå Gamle Prestegard

Today our class visited a gallery/museum named Hå Gamle Prestegard. This little place is located northwest of a town called Nærbø. This wasn't only to get a rare trip out of the classroom but to look at a exhibition kalled "Svev" (which is transalated to "float" in english) by the artist  Heidi Vexelsen Goksøyr. After a we got a little delayed because of our ice cream stop, we were a little worried we wouldn't make it but got there just in time. The first part of the exhibition was a series of photos, Mostly of clouds which had been retouched. In some, there were treetops and houses in the clouds, in others there were synchronized swimmers, or water gymnasts. I think everybody liked the pictures. They were very peaceful and harmonic. The other part of the show was three light installations. These illustrated the use of shutter speed and lighting, and how you could use these to get a sort of time warp of for example a drop of water.

After this we took a quick walk around the museum and the historical exhibition and then we headed out to take some pictures of the beautiful landscape. Me, being born and raised ten minutes south of Nærbø, wasn't so fascinated by the "cool cows" as the people from the city so I headed down to the ocean to get some interesting photos. After a 40 minute photo session we headed into the main house to get started on our blogging and after this we headed home. Here are some pictures from the trip.

These were right outside the Gallery.

The last day of summer!

This was a really fun trip. The weather couldn't have been better and the show was great! When we go to museums and art shows we usually go to Stavanger or Sandnes, and it was nice with a change. We should do this more often!
