Aperture Value

Aperture Value decides how much the blender in your camera opens. This is a function that is useful for visualizing depth. A high aperture value, or when the camera applications are set at high numbers will give you a "fuzzy" background, like this:

But if you set the blender at small numbers you´ll get a large blender opening, and you´ll get a picture that is not "fuzzy".

This function is really good for emphasizing a detail in an image, or on a focusing certain thing. It is also good for portraits, so you can make the background slightly blurry.

Here are some more examples of pictures taken with the camera set at a small blender opening:

We found a Vespa parked at our school. Me and Ida shared a camera, which was a Canon EOS 450D. To experiment with Aperture Value (on a canon camera) just scroll to AP on the wheel and start taking photos.
