Graphic Workshop in Stavanger!

For class today, we went to the Graphic Workshop in Stavanger. Here we got a tour of the shop and we even got to try out silk printing. Solveig Landa was our guide for the day. It was a very interesting visit. We got to see how the different instruments worked and also, the work of the artist who make their prints in the workshop. The different techniques we were introduced to were aquatint, silkprint, lithography some more, which I don´t quite remember.


This is the silk print we made. Our guide first treated the silk in a ultraviolet light which loosened up the paint and the pattern was revealed.
